SEASONAL INFLUENZA CLINICS
The Hanover Board of Health, in conjunction with the Hanover Visiting Nurse
Association, has scheduled their annual public flu clinics to be held at
the Hanover Senior Center, 665 Center Street, Hanover:
Tuesday, October 7, 2014 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Wednesday, October 8, 2014 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Please note: Because of budget cuts across all departments, the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health is no longer able to provide free
vaccine to cities and towns except to those residents who are either
un-insured or under-insured (meaning their health plan will not cover the
cost of a flu shot).
The Board of Health has purchased an adequate supply of flu vaccine to make
up for the lesser amount received from the State. *** All persons will be
asked to present an insurance card (most insurance plans welcome) and the
insurance plan will cover the cost of the flu shot ***.
No one will be turned away on the basis of insurance eligibility.
Please remember to wear short sleeves.
