Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the ninth annual Hanover
Day community celebration on Saturday, June 20.
The full day of activities, sponsored by the Hanover Cultural Council in
cooperation with many local organizations and area businesses, is a beloved
tradition among residents of all ages. All money raised by the event is
given back to community groups in the form of grants for the arts,
sciences, and humanities. A special preview of the fun-filled carnival
will take place again this year on Friday evening, June 19.
Recipients of cultural council grants include the Hanover Public Schools,
the John Curtis Free Library, Council on Aging, Hanover Historical Society,
and Hanover Public Schools dramatic arts programs, Mass Audubon, and area
museums.
As in the past, Hanover Day will feature artisan crafts, demonstrations,
games and activities for all ages, great food, live music and dancing by
local performers, and an incredible fireworks display over Hanover Center.
Approximately 10,000 people attend the event, and organizers are expecting
many more to join this year’s celebration, which will run from 10 a.m. to
11 p.m. at B. Everett Hall/Sylvester Field on Route 139.
To help support such a large undertaking, the planning committee has
developed several sponsorship levels and is inviting local businesses to
help underwrite the musical and dance performances, kids’ activities, and
more.
Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to support Hanover Day by
choosing a level of sponsorship that suits their promotional budgets. The
exposure of being involved with Hanover Day is unbeatable! For more details
on the opportunities available, contact Nancy Devlin,
nancydevlin@hanoverday.com, 781-789-4022, or Jeannie Hickey,
jeanniehickey@hanoverday.com or 781-254-8057.
Applications for craft, business and civic group booths also are being
accepted, and volunteers are always welcome. For information on the craft
fair and full details about the event, visit www.hanoverday.com.
