What happened at Town Meeting?

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Would you like to know what happened at Town Meeting? Were you out of
town, or perhaps were only able to make it to one of the two nights? Or
maybe you just plain forgot how we voted on an issue that is now of
interest to you.

Thanks to requests from two of Hanover’s most interested citizens, I as
Town Clerk have now started to post the “Town Meeting Journals” on the
Town’s website. Those records are now found here:
http://www.hanover-ma.gov/town-clerk/pages/town-meeting-journals . Town
Meeting Journals eventually become part of the permanent record of the
town. In fact, I have Town Meeting records dating back to 1727 in my
office. But prior to this year, concerned citizens had to wait until the
Town Report was published in April in order to refresh their memories about
the previous May’s meeting. Well, no longer.

Thanks Ken and Jack. We all benefit from citizen input such as yours.
