Making Friends with Farm Animals

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Making Friends with Farm Animals
August 12, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Back by popular demand! The Hanover Historical Society will host farm
animals from Soule Homestead in Middleborough at the Stetson House Museum
(514 Hanover Street). Children are invited to meet and interact with
chickens and rabbits, as they learn how animals help farmers work and
provide food. Each child will get hands-on experience spinning wool and
making butter. The program is appropriate for children ages 5 to 10. This
is a wonderful opportunity to foster an appreciation for the history and
ongoing importance of animal husbandry.

Program is limited to 30 children; reservations strongly encouraged. Cost
is $2/child; $5 max/family. Free for members. To make a reservation, please
e-mail hanoverhistoricaleducation@gmail.com or call 781-826-9575.
