Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Please join the Open Space Committee and the Hanover Historical Society on
Saturday, October 24 at 3:00 p.m. for a one mile walk through woodland in
the Phillips Sanctuary behind the Station Five Fire Museum. A vernal
pool, old stone walls, and cart-paths make this a lovely fall walk.
The Museum is also open for tours from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., and refreshments
will be served. The museum, operated as a fire station from the early 20th
century until 1993, features exhibits on firefighting in Hanover and on the
National Fireworks Company.
Park at the Station Five Firehouse at 1095 Broadway. Sturdy shoes and
insect/tick repellant are advised.
