Pastel painting workshop at the library

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Gregory Maichack, twice nominated for the MCC Gold Star Award, and
award-winning pastelist, presents his all-new “Pastel Paint Stunning
Still Lifes Like the Masters” workshop: instruction, demo, and hands-on
work by sheer beginners to advanced who keep their pastel painting. He
demonstrates how beginners to advanced artists can easily pastel paint a
still life while applying techniques used by masters such as van Gogh,
O’Keeffe, Monet and da Vinci. He shares humorous and insightful anecdotes
on the artists in this fun workshop. Essential techniques of pastel
painting will be clearly demonstrated as participants follow along. He
provides hundreds of professional grade pastels, paper, and pencils.

Mr. Maichack will conduct this workshop on Wednesday, April 27th from 6:00
to 8:00 p.m. in the John Curtis Library’s large meeting room.
REGISTRATION is required. This workshop is sponsored by a grant from the
Hanover Cultural Council and the Friends of the John Curtis Library. There
is no charge. Participants must be 18 or older. Please contact the library
at 781-826-2972 or lwelsh@ocln.org for further information and to register.
