Hanover300 process to kick off with community visioning throughout May and June

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Do you live, work or own a business in Hanover? Are you interested in
helping to shape a vision for the community and a strategic plan to achieve
that vision?

Throughout the months of May and June, the Hanover300 Master Plan Committee
and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) will be holding a series
of “pop-up” engagement activities to listen to Hanover citizens’
thoughts about where they would like their community to be in 2027, when
the town celebrates its 300th anniversary.

Hanover residents are encouraged to participate in the Community Vision
Survey, or visit Hanover300 at an upcoming pop-up at Hanover Day or the
Senior Center’s Summer Kickoff Party. These activities will provide the
public with the opportunity to learn about the master plan process, share
their thoughts about Hanover’s future, and shape a vision for the
community.

Hanover300 is being developed by the Town of Hanover with the assistance of
MAPC under the direction of the Hanover300 Master Plan Committee and Town
Planner, Peter Matchak. When completed in late 2027, Hanover300 will
include a set of goals, policies and strategies on topics including
housing, economic development, historic and cultural resources, open
space/recreation, transportation and more.

To learn more about the Hanover300 process and how you can participate, go
to www.Hanover300.mapc.org or contact Hanover Town Planner, Peter Matchak
at 781.826.5000 x 1026 or peter.matchak@hanover-ma.gov.
