Free sunscreen dispensers at the ballfields

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

I am always delighted to send out information about free services that
local businesses are providing to Hanover residents. Read on!

DPS Insurance Group (www.dpsinsurancegroup.com), an insurance agency
established in 2013 serving the residential and commercial insurance needs
of the region, has provided the Town of Hanover with twelve sunscreen
dispensers to be installed at the community’s six ballfields.

Daniel and Debbie Sullivan, principals at DPS Insurance Group, are Hanover
residents and opened their second location in the Town of Hanover in May
2016.

The sunscreen dispensers, which are valued at $5,000, have been installed
by the Town’s Recreation Department just as another busy season of
outdoor activities gets underway.

The agency has been a staunch advocate of the prevention of melanoma,
considered the most deadly form of skin cancer. “It’s about saving
lives, and about early detection and education,” said Debbie Sullivan,
Vice President of DPS Insurance. “There has been so much discussion about
the importance of preventing melanoma; this is a cause near and dear to us.
Melanoma touches the lives of so many people. And people can be their own
best advocates with education and adopting prevention measures, including
using sunscreen when outdoors.”

She said, “We are very pleased, as Hanover residents and as business
owners who are opening a second office in our hometown, to be able to work
with this community to take this step to help prevent the spread of
melanoma. We encourage everyone who uses our town’s recreational fields
to take advantage of this sunscreen that will be available. We also
encourage people everywhere to read up on melanoma and skin cancer and to
be proactive in fighting this threat.”
