Center School addition override results

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Residents of Hanover have spoken loudly and clearly. On Monday, by a
unanimous vote, 716 voters at the Special Town Meeting more than exceeded
the 2/3 majority needed to approve the Center School addition and move it
along to a ballot vote.

And then today, Saturday, by an unofficial tally of 1692 in favor and 358
opposed, residents of Hanover voted to approve the addition, when only a
majority was necessary.

Regardless of your view on this issue, and at the risk of skipping dozens
of people, please join me in thanking Libby Corbo, Kim Mills-Booker, Rachel
Hughes, Julia Traggorth, Jocelyn Keegan, and countless others for
volunteering their time and energy to bring this question to the people.
Residents like you make our town the awesome community it is.

The people have spoken. Our schools and our children matter. Hanover
rocks.
