Culinary Arts Program – Pathways to Employment

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Cardinal Cushing Centers is accepting new participants in their Culinary
Arts Program Pathways to Employment. The goal of the Pathways to Employment
program is to prepare individuals with intellectual disabilities for a
career in food services, using Cardinal Cushing’s full service kitchen as a
training site during after-school hours.

The program is open to individuals currently supported by Cardinal Cushing
Centers as well as community members who are not currently affiliated with
the organization. As participants progress through the 12 week semester,
they will be continuously evaluated on their abilities, strengths and
opportunities for improvement. The program will conclude with an
internship for those participants who are deemed ready by the instructor.
All program participants will receive a certificate of program completion;
those participants who have the ability to sit for an exam will take the
National Serve Safe Test.

The next session will begin February 7th, and sessions take place Tuesday
and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. For more information, please
contact Angela Gokey, Director of Day Services at 781-829-4610 or
agokey@cushingcenters.org , or see the attached brochure.
