Blue Hills Ski & Snowboard Lessons

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Hanover Parks & Recreation and the Office of Family & Community Engagement
are pleased to collaborate to offer ski and snowboarding lessons at the
Blue Hills Ski Area.

When: Tuesdays 1/2, 1/9, 1/16, 1/23 & 1/30, 4:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
(Please note, lessons on 1/2 will run until 6:15 p.m. to allow extra time
for testing and sizing)
Additional weeks will be added if there are cancellations due to adverse
weather conditions. Families/Students will be notified of any lesson
cancellations by both an email and phone call. Please be advised, Blue
Hills strives to create optimal conditions. However, the weather can impact
their ability to do so.

All registrations are final as of 12/22/17. This date is set by Blue Hills
Ski Area to allow them to staff appropriately. Refunds will not be issued
after this date except for medical reasons as documented by a doctor’s
note.

Time: Buses will depart Hanover Middle School at 2:45 p.m. sharp, Cedar
School at 3:00 p.m. sharp, Hanover High School at 3:10 p.m. sharp and
Center School at 3:20 p.m. sharp. We will depart Blue Hills at
approximately 6:00 p.m. and will return to Hanover Middle School for pick
up at approximately 7:00 p.m. A text alert will be sent to all families
through the Team App when departing Blue Hills Ski Area. All students must
be picked up at Hanover Middle School by a parent/guardian or other
authorized designee.

Ages: 7-15 years of age

Cost:
$325 – Ski/Snowboard lesson (No Equipment rental)*
$400 – Ski/Snowboard lesson with Rental
$30 – Helmet rental
*Please ensure equipment fits prior to the start of lessons if not renting
from Blue Hills.

registrations must be received by December 18, 2017. We must have a 35
participant minimum to offer the program.

Students will be picked up at their respective schools unless previously
arranged with staff. Students may bring equipment to school on the day of
their lesson to be safely stored for the day.

Helmets are required. Each participant will wear a Blue Hills Ski Pass
during lessons as well as a pinnie to identify him/her as part of the
Hanover program. Hanover Parks and Recreation and the Office of Family &
Community Engagement are not responsible for lost or damaged cell phones or
other personal property.

All students in grades 6th – 9th must meet the head injury prerequisites
for student participation as set forth by the Hanover School Committee
including a current physical examination and a Baseline ImPACT Test.
