Dear fellow Hanoverians:
In order to celebrate the installation of their new Rodgers Organ, the
First Congregational Church of Hanover will be presenting an Organ
Dedication Concert on Sunday, May 5, for their church and our community.
All are welcome to attend this free concert, so be sure to invite friends
and family. The organ was purchased through a fundraising campaign that
resulted in contributions from many church members and music lovers.
At the keyboard for the dedication will be Minister of Music and Organ
Virtuoso Chad Weirick, who will demonstrate many of the organ’s
capabilities. Joining in the celebration will be percussionist Tim
Maxwell, the Senior Choir, as well as other musicians from the
congregation. The one-hour concert will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday May 5,
in the sanctuary. A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow in
the vestry.
Made in America, the Classic Series Rodgers Organ 589 is packed with an
array of modern features from the onboard Hymn Player with 350 commonly
played hymn tunes, to the 32-note velocity-sensitive pedalboard for
expressive orchestral effects. Other features include two keyboard manuals
with lighted tab controls, locking roll top, and built in music desk lamp.
Come enjoy the free music and celebration.
