“My son Max DaSilva is working with the Hanover Council on Aging and the
Parks and Rec Department to launch a new program that connects teens and
senior citizens to enjoy each other’s company, have fun and make unexpected
friends.
He is reaching out on his social media channels to get his peers to
volunteer, but I am hoping you can help raise awareness among the parents
on your newsletter. The first “Friend Us Project” kick-off event is on
Saturday, December 14th from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Hanover Council
on Aging Center at 665 Center Street. Teens can sign up here:

This will be the first of a monthly event where teens can hang out, talk
football or movies, play a game and share stories with some of the most
amazing people around – our seniors. And it will count for their community
service hours!”
