Virtual services

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

As the post-COVID-19-in-Hanover days started to roll into weeks here in
Hanover, Hanover residents turned to technology in order to worship this
Sunday. I thought I would share links to a few services that I am aware
of:

St. Mary’s did a Facebook Live service today, which may be found on their
Facebook page, here:

.

The Lutheran did a similar Facebook Live service, which may also be found
on their Facebook page, here:

The good folks at the First Congregational Church sent along this message
for everyone:

“Although First Congregational Church of Hanover is closed due to the
threat of the COVID-19 virus, Reverend John Terry has recorded a sermon
available to all. The title of the March 22 message is Blame Game. The
sermon is available at www.fcchanover.org all week. Anyone with concerns
about the pandemic is invited to email Reverend Terry at
johnterry@fcchanover.org.

The First Congregational Church is associated with the United Church of
Christ. We have been located in the center of Hanover since the founding of
the town in 1727. We are open and affirming and welcome all in need. No
matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. The church
will be closed through March, but callers can reach the minister or office
administrator by calling 781-826-4762.”

The Fellowship Baptist Church on Summer Street is doing conference calls.

First Parish Unitarian Universalist in Norwell is doing Zoom meeting
virtual worship services. The link changes weekly and may be found on
their website:

I am sad that my dear neighbor’s Bar Mitzvah festivities at Sha’aray Shalom
in Hingham have been cancelled, but they are working on virtual services.

Let’s continue to find creative ways to come together, Hanover. I love
receiving your suggestions for posts and information. Keep it coming.
