Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Today’s good news from the Town of Hanover!
Late last week the Legislature approved, and the Governor signed, a new law
allowing municipalities to delay Motor Vehicle Excise Tax deadlines.
Hanover’s Town Manager made the decision, which has been ratified by the
Board of Selectmen, to set the due date for the Motor Vehicle Excise Tax
bills originally due April 13, 2020 to the new deadline of June 1, 2020.
These bills may be paid until June 1 without incurring penalties or
interest.
This decision does not currently affect any other tax deadline, including
Motor Vehicle Excise Tax bills due on dates other than April 13, 2020.
