Dear fellow Hanoverians:
This just in from the good folks at the John Curtis Library!

Ted Reinstein – Author of Before Brooklyn
John Curtis Free Library Meeting Room
Ted Reinstein will be the first adult IN-PERSON EVENT since the closure of
the Library in March of 2020. Yes, you read that right – welcome back to
programs at the Library! He will be there to talk about his new book,
Before Brooklyn: The Unsung Heroes Who Helped Break Baseball’s Color
Barrier. The book is slated to be released in November, but you can
pre-order at this event and have your copy signed when it’s available! So,
please – join the JCL in welcoming Ted back to Hanover!

Teen Zone Ribbon Cutting
John Curtis Free Library Teen Zone
Welcome to the new Teen Zone! This room – reserved for 13-17 year old
patrons – will give teens the much needed space to unwind after school or
on the weekend. Stop in and play a game, write some poetry, share some
drawings.
They’re planning a fun-filled calendar of events for this age group, as
well, so keep your eye out for a fencing demo, face painting tips (just in
time for Halloween!), and more! Got ideas – for games, books, or programs?
Let the JCL know!
Best of all – after the ribbon cutting they’ll have PIZZA in the large
meeting room! So come join the good folks at the JCL!
