Four Corners Winter Festival returns this Friday!

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The Four Corners Winter Festival is returning to Hanover on Friday,
December 3rd from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. A variety of family-friendly
activities are planned throughout the festival including: photos with
Santa; gingerbread houses and children’s crafts; a historical walking tour
and performances by local dancers and carolers! The entire neighborhood
will be lit with luminaries and there will be a fire pit and craft vendors.
Below is a list of the activities:

• Boy Scouts + Girl Scouts will have luminaries lit throughout the
neighborhood at 5:30 p.m.
• “The Grinch” Movie screening courtesy of Mr. TV at 6:30 p.m.
• Santa arrives via Slingshot at 6:30 p.m.
• Abbey Knoll Photography hosting “Pictures with Santa” at the Mary
Lous’s parking lot from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Renovisions hosting a cider donut bar from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Strolling Hanover High School VOX Chorus carolers will host
sing-a-longs after 7:00 p.m.
• Ivy & Olives open house all evening with wreath raffle
• 4H petting zoo on Broadway
• Stephen O’Neill of the Hanover Historical Society leading a
historical walking tour at 7:00 p.m.
• Phoenix Lodge tours and free clam chowder
• Fire pits on the grass in the Four Corners parking lot provided by the
Scouts, with s’mores provided by the Scouts.
• Mary Lou’s 50 cent hot chocolate special
• A variety of food trucks at Salmond School
• School Store open at Salmond School selling Hanover gear
• Park and Rec, Council on Aging, Office of Family and Community
Engagement, John Curtis Library + HCTV hosting games and crafts at Salmond
School.
• Lorraine’s Cakes Gingerbread houses decorating contest entries on
display
• Toys for Tots collecting new toys in the sleigh parked on the square
• St. Andrew’s Church hosting its annual cookie sale
• Beer Garden at Abbey Knoll Photography/Fire station #2

The following performers will be dancing on the MAIN STAGE which will be
located just outside to the left of Mary Lou’s and the schedule will be as
follows:

• South Shore Ballet Theater Nutcracker – 6:00 p.m.
• Shoestrings Dance Studio – 6:30 p.m.
• Pembroke School of Performing Arts – 6:45 p.m.
• Hanover High School VOX Chorus – 7:00 p.m.
• Connolly Academy Irish Dancers – 7:15 p.m.

There will also be a second performance stage in front of the Salmond
School and the schedule is as follows:
• Connolly Academy Irish Dancers – 6:45 p.m.
• Pembroke School of Performing Arts – 7:15 p.m.

Cellist Cindy Newton will be performing on the steps of Saint Andrews from
6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. accompanied by Elsa Little-Gill on violin.

As has been the case in past years, the square will be closed to traffic
with parking available at Columbia Plaza (formerly Tedeschi Plaza). Limited
parking will be available at the new Previte’s Plaza in peripheral spots,
but not in front of the market. Hanover Police will be on hand at the light
to help all pedestrians cross the street.
