First Taste of Spring Food Festival

9th at 3:00 p.m. for Chef Rob Scott’s “First Taste of Spring” Food
Festival. Chef Rob will be cooking grilled salmon tacos, chicken piccata
meatballs over egg noodles, and lemon cake! Please register so recipes and

The Story of the Lincoln Assassination
Tuesday, April 12th at 6:30 p.m.
The John Curtis Free Library will be joined by historian and author Chris
Daley on Tuesday, April 12th at 6:30 p.m. for his presentation on the
assassination of Abraham Lincoln. This in-person presentation is expected
to last approximately one hour, and will highlight the events before,
during, and after the assassination of Lincoln. A full description of the

Survival Skills – Zombie Apocalypse (Teens Only)
Friday, April 22nd at 1:00 p.m.
Learn how to survive the zombie apocalypse at the John Curtis Free Library
on Friday, April 22nd at 1:00 p.m. This 2-hour workshop is designed to be
an extremely fun, engaging workshop where everyone gets involved!
Topics include basic first aid and first aid kits, emergency “bug out
bags”, lost proofing, knots and lashings, and emergency shelter
construction anywhere. Plus, everybody gets to shoot a real Darryl Dixon
(From The Walking Dead TV Series) style crossbow!
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Young Adult program, geared to teens ages 12-19.

Museum of Bad Art: Tough Times
Thursday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m.

Bad art is back on the menu at the John Curtis Free Library! Rescheduled
due to technical difficulties, the Museum of Bad Art will now be presenting
virtually on Thursday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m.
Art has always helped get us through difficult times. In this presentation,
MOBA explores some of the ways artists react to small and large, real and
imagined disasters.
