Dear fellow Hanoverians:
It’s finally here! After over a month of voting by mail and two weeks of
in-person early voting, the Massachusetts State Election is finally upon
us. Here are all of the details you might need to cast your vote on
Tuesday:
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hanover High School, 287 Cedar
Street on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Hanover schools will be closed, so the building will be open all day and
parking will be available in the front and back of HHS. Mom on the Go Food
Truck will be slinging grilled cheeses from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The HHS
Junior Class will be selling baked goods and the HHS DECA Club will be
selling chocolate bars all day. Consider bringing some cash to support
them!
Want to check your voter registration status before you get there? Smart
idea. Go to:

. If you are listed as “inactive”, you will have to fill out paperwork and
show your ID before you can get back in line.
There are TWO CARDS that make up your ballot. Card One is printed front
and back, Card Two just has one side printed. There are nine questions on
those two cards, in addition to the federal, state and district races.
Here is the link to the sample ballot:

.
Can’t find your “red book” (2026 Information for Voters) with all of the
the information about the questions? It’s here:
http://atotw.com/maillist/lt.php?tid=JvtiWo4UTM2yDVZy0OUPHdD1LnETxJ9+hcKJ3LcXiZ9oqLt7nDP4RqoN783ZLADJ
. Do your homework now and be ready to vote when you arrive. State
regulations only allow you 5 minutes to vote when there is a line and the
red book is 88 pages…yikes. The math simply does not work. Be prepared
when you walk in the door.
Did you already vote by mail or early in person and want to make sure your
ballot has been received? Go to “Track my Ballot”, found here:
http://atotw.com/maillist/lt.php?tid=oSTIIK8jZvaXVeb0/eRmAND1LnETxJ9+hcKJ3LcXiZ9oqLt7nDMIRqoN783ZLADJ
. Give your neighbors, who run your elections, adequate time to receive
and process your ballot before you freak out. :) We love you and we are
working our tails off, but good solid detailed work takes time. And we
need to sleep. :)
Did you request a ballot by mail and not return it yet? It has to be
postmarked or returned to the ballot drop box outside of Town Hall, 550
Hanover Street, before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday in order to be counted.
In-Person Early Voting, which is accessible to all without an excuse, is
over. The last day was Friday. All that’s left for those who will not be
in Hanover from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday is in-person absentee
voting on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon. You have to NOT be in
Hanover all day on Tuesday to qualify to vote absentee Monday morning. Or
otherwise physically disabled/unable to get to the polls. Or have a
religious reason.
Exercise your right to vote! See you Tuesday!!!
