Soccer season in Hanover comes to an end

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Sorry to say the Hanover High School boys’ soccer season came to end last night against Pembroke at Veterans Stadium in Quincy.  The final score was 0-1.  Both teams had very few scoring chances in the 1st half, with no scoring taking place during the 1st 40 minutes.  15 minutes into the 2nd half, Pembroke scored with a cross and a finish at the top of the box. Hanover kept the pressure on the rest of the game with multiple chances – even 2 extremely close finishes within the last minute of play.  Tough way to end a great season for these guys.
One last round of thanks to Geoff Hoffman, ace reporter, for these soccer updates.  And in the meantime, good luck Hanover football in this weekend’s Patriot Bowl!
