Hanover Visiting Nurse Association update

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

This is a very busy time for everyone and the Hanover VNA wants to thank
everyone for the ongoing support and contributions to their annual
Thanksgiving food program. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and
generosity.

The Hanover VNA is moving forward to their Christmas Gift Giving Program.
This is the project where the Hanover VNA collects toys and games for
Hanover children from infant through teenage years. Donations can be
dropped off at VNA office at Town Hall through this week, December 10th –
14th. Distribution will be next week, December 17th!

Throughout the year, the Hanover VNA also provides assistance to families
who experience financial difficulties due to unforeseen events that result
in the inability to obtain food, clothing and other necessities needed for
their family. The Annual Fund Drive helps provide that level of support.
If you would like to donate to the fund drive, you can make your check
payable to HVNA and send it to Hanover Visiting Nurse Association, Inc,
P.O. 45, Hanover, MA 02339.

The Hanover Visiting Nurse Association appreciates all the ways the
community provides support to them though gift cards, food, toys and
donations to their fund drive. If you have already donated, thank you for
your ongoing support past and present.

If you have questions, please contact:
Jo Koelsch, President

2019 Future Celtics Program

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Cardinal Cushing Centers is proud to be chosen as a host site for the 2019
Future Celtics Program.

Beginning in January, the Future Celtics Program is a six-week program for
children with intellectual disabilities enrolled in grades three to five.
The program is designed to help participants develop their basketball game
through skills, drills and leadership training. The skills and drills are
all designed by coaches of the Boston Celtics and help challenge
participants in measurable ways over the course of four weeks. After
attending one of the Future Celtics clinics where they learn directly from
Celtics players, participants continue to improve their skills at their
home gym. The players track their skills on official Jr. Celtics Score
Sheets and data is reported back to the Celtics. They are challenged
through these clinics to improve their skills for a chance to come to a
Celtics Basketball Game as a Future Celtics All-Star.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Boston Celtics,”
said Cushing’s Vice President of Development, Jansi Chandler. “We
appreciate all the Boston Celtics and TD Bank have done for us, from
renovating our Recreation Center to including us in this wonderful
program.”

The Cardinal Cushing Centers Future Celtics program will be held on
Saturday mornings from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. in their school gym, located
at 405 Washington Street in Hanover. For more information or to sign up,
please contact Tom McElman at 781-829-1295 or tmcelman@cushingcenters.org.

Cardinal Cushing Centers, Inc. is in the business of changing lives. A
non-profit organization founded in Hanover, MA in 1947, Cushing Centers

perfect teacher gift.
We want to see one on every car in Hanover! Hanover Pride!
To purchase 1 or many, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope with a
check (payable to HHS) to:
