Donate blood at Town Hall this Wednesday

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

American Red Cross heroes come in all shapes and sizes. They don’t wear
capes or special suits, and their badge of honor is the bandage that shows
they gave the “gift of life.” The Red Cross encourages eligible donors
to become hometown heroes and answer the call of patients in need by
donating blood.

Donating blood is one of the simplest things a person can do to help save a
patient’s life. For the hour it takes to give blood, there could be a
whole community of people thankful for another birthday given to their
loved one.

Upcoming blood donation opportunity:

July 29, 2015, 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hanover Town Hall, 550 Hanover
Street

How to donate blood
Simply download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit
redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to make an
appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a
reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or
two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who
are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at
least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate
blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger
also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

About the American Red Cross
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to
victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood;
teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid;
and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a
not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity
of the American public to perform its mission. For more information, please
visit redcross.org or visit them on Twitter at @RedCross, or e-mail
leah.mclean@redcross.org .

Friends of Hanover Music mattress sale

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The Friends of Hanover Music (FHM) are sponsoring their 2nd annual
Mattress Sale on Saturday, July 18, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at
Hanover High School, 287 Cedar Street.

There will be a full mattress showroom with 20+ sets on display in the
cafeteria and a team of experts on hand taking orders and answering
questions. All products are brand new, name brand (Simmons, Restonic,
Therapedic) with full manufacturer warranties made locally right here in
New England. Mattress sets can be delivered or picked up at the company’s
warehouse about 2 weeks after the sale and free layaway is also available.
All they ask is that you come in and take a look if you have been thinking
about a new mattress or have a mattress in your home that could be
replaced. This is a no pressure sale, just savings to our community from
30-50% below retail and the music programs earn money from every single
sale.

FHM would appreciate your support of their fundraiser and hope you spread
the word to extended family, co-workers, neighbors and friends.

Please visit their website for more information including the attached
flyer which gives you a $50 discount. If you indicate your school of choice
at the bottom of the flyer that school will receive an extra $25 from the
sale.

The FHM website is, http://friendsofhanovermusic.weebly.com . For more
information, please contact Mary Raab at raabfamily3@comcast.net .
