of Paul Revere!

There will be an engaging discussion of the many topics on the life of Paul

ALL PRO DAD HANOVER Breakfast – Friday, March 31st
Attention Center Elementary – Students (grades 2-4) and Dads:
All Pro Dad is a monthly gathering where dads get to intentionally engage
with their kids.
There will be a light, complimentary breakfast, fun activities, and a
character-based curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations
with their kids.

When: Friday, March 31st, 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
Where: Riley Hall Building (next to Center Elementary) – 17 Silver Street
Who: Center School students (boy and girls) and their dads (or other
father-like figures)

Softer Side of Celtic with Jeff Snow! Jeff combines the music, stories and
a wee bit of history from Scotland, Ireland, and England. This program is
free and open to the public, and suitable for all ages. Refreshments will
be served. The good folks at the John Curtis Library are planning on this
being recorded for Hanover Community Television, so stay tuned!

The Hanover Democrats will host a community blood drive with the American
Red Cross on Friday, March 31, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hanover
Senior Center (665 Center Street, Hanover).

To make an appointment to donate, call 1-800-733-2767 or sign up online at
redcrossblood.org and enter: Hanover.

“The Hanover Democrats are committed to strengthening our community and
helping meet hospital and patient needs through blood donations,” said
Michelle Davidson, vice chair of the Hanover Democratic Town Committee.
“This blood drive is our way of giving our neighbors an opportunity to
help save lives.”

Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood
donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood
products must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross.

“We urge community members to donate blood and help ensure that patients
in local hospitals have a supply of blood ready and waiting before an
emergency occurs,” Davidson said. “There’s no better feeling than
knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at
life.”

According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed,
especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative.

Not only will you help save a life, but you will get a $10 Visa® Prepaid
Card by email. Plus, you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to win
a $3,000 Visa Prepaid Card. There will be 5 lucky winners!

Next month, Hanover resident Meredith O’Hayre-McCarthy will be running the
Boston Marathon for the Dana Farber Marathon Challenge Team in memory of
her father. This Tuesday, March 21, she will be holding a fundraiser at the
Chipotle on Route 53 in Hanover. From 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., 30% of all
sales will go to Meredith’s Dana Farber team. Simply mention the Dana

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The first time I heard the term “digital natives” I was teaching at a
Montessori school in Scituate, and it was used to refer to the youngest
pre-K and elementary kids under our watch. Those kids were (practically)
born with iPhones in their hands. The concept was interesting to me – even
my own kids weren’t digital natives, and they were just in middle school at
the time! Now those early elementary digital natives are middle schoolers
and maybe even high schoolers. Their developmental experiences were and
are still vastly different than my kids’ experiences, and certainly light
years ahead of my own. I’m so glad Hanover Public School is providing
some tools to help parents navigate these uncharted waters.

Please see the attached flyer regarding a highly recommended program being
held next week for parents regarding internet safety. It will be held on
Zoom on Monday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. Please email

The Hanover Unity Council is pleased to announce a panel discussion in
honor of Women’s History Month. The discussion will be held on Tuesday,
March 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hanover Senior Center, located at 665 Center
Street.

The panel discussion will focus on women in the workplace and celebrate the
successes of Hanover women who have broken through glass ceilings in their
respective careers. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from the
experiences and insights of successful women in various fields.

The panel will include the following featured guests:

* Ariel Fortunato, Principal, Strategic Advisor, Brown Advisory
