SSVT hosts info session regarding Massasoit’s LATCH program

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Here’s an update from the South Shore Vo-Tech High School’s Parent Advisory
Council:

The January 11th SSVT PAC meeting regarding the Massasoit Community College
LATCH program has been re-scheduled. NO SSVT PAC MEETING WILL BE HELD ON
JANUARY 11th.

Instead, Eric Hanson from Massasoit Community College will speak about
Massasoit’s Academic Support "LATCH" Program on February 15th from 6:00 –
8:00 p.m. in room 106 of the SSVT, located on Webster Street in Hanover.
Parents and students are encouraged to attend.

Latch is an academic support program that offers sections of Massasoit’s
required courses in reading, writing, math, and college experience. The
courses are identical to those offered throughout the college, and the
program offers teachers with reputations for patience and clear
communication. Latch offers tutoring on a ‘drop-in’ basis, focuses on
reading and writing skills with special help available in social sciences,
speech, basic computer skills, mathematics and other subjects. Latch also
offers counselors who are experienced at helping a student choose the right
courses for that individual. For more information, go to
