Dear fellow Hanoverians:
The Hanover Senior Center is always expanding its services, but they
need volunteer help to do so.
*Personal Shopping Assistants Needed*: The volunteer meets with the
client and obtains the shopping list and money and purchases the
groceries and/or prescriptions and delivers them to the client’s
home.
*Medical Transportation Volunteers Needed: * Volunteers are called on
an as need basis. If you can help, you will be given the client’s
name, address, telephone number and the appointment information.
Volunteer contacts the client by phone 24 hours before the appointment
to set up the pickup time. All medical appointments are on the South
Shore. Mileage will be reimbursed.
If you are interested in helping out a senior, please contact Martha
Kristian at 781-924-1913 or volunteer.coa@hanover-ma.gov
or just stop by the Senior Center at 665 Center Street and fill out
and application and CORI form. Please bring your driver’s license as
well.
