Dear fellow Hanoverians:
FILL A TRUCK! HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF MISSION
On Saturday, January 19, 30 adults from the First Congregational
Church in Hanover are heading to Rockaway Beach on Long Island for a
weekend mission trip where more than 50 percent of the residents are
STILL without electricity! A UCC church there has been serving as a
food pantry and an emergency relief center and sees over 150 families
a week. The needs are great and they are completely out of MANY
staples. They are hoping to fill a box truck with supplies and would
love the help of the kind folks of Hanover.
If you are able to donate any items for their group to bring, please
drop them off at the church office in the rear of Riley Hall at 17
Silver Street. Drops offs may be on Tuesday – Friday, January 15 -18
during office hours (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) or at 5:00 p.m. on
Friday, January 18th when they will be loading the truck. They
appreciate the generosity of their fellow Hanoverians!
