Spring Awakening at the Denham property

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Spring Awakening – Denham Property, April 21, 2:00 p.m.

The Hanover Open Space Committee invites you on a guided spring tour
of the Denham property. The Denham property offers existing trails
across 25 acres.

Two retired local scientists join us to truly explore our newest
addition to Hanover’s open space. Duke Magoun and Bill Spinale will
provide insight as to what really happens in a vernal pool, as well as
explain how the New England woodland and wetland plants and animals
start to emerge in this new season.

Limited parking (~10 cars) is available in the meadow directly access
from our Circuit Street entrance. The Open Space Committee recommends
parking on Hillside Drive or Homer/Winslow Streets if the parking area
looks full and walking the short distance up Circuit Street.

Please wear sturdy shoes. There will be at least one minor brook
crossing this time of year, so boots or other waterproof shoes are
always a good idea.

Please visit the Open Space Committee on Facebook: Hanover
Massachusetts Open Space or hanoveropenspace@gmail.com

for latest updates and additional details. The OSC meets at 7:30 p.m.
the first Monday of every month at the Hanover Town Hall.
