Jazz, Rock and Roll and Comic Books are the only art forms created in
the United States. Born out of comic strips in the 1930’s, comic books
became increasingly popular with GI’s during WWII and have grown and
developed in the 80+ years since they first appeared. This workshop
will provide an in depth look at the history of American comics,
followed by a hands-on workshop offering techniques and tricks,
advanced storytelling, lettering, sound effects and inking tips. For
books by Andy Fish, check the library catalog or ask about them at the
library!
