Healing in Hanover

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Healing in Hanover: The History of Hanover Doctors 1727-1927

Have you ever wondered why so many early doctors used leeches? Or where
early medical cadavers came from? Well, here is your chance to find out.
On Friday, March 21st Rachel Lovett, Executive Director of the Hanover
Historical Society, will delve into the fascinating realm of early New
England medicine. The talk will highlight cures, case studies, and
curiosities. Lovett will speak about early Hanover’s doctor’s medical
practices and social history. Herbal medicines will be on display to show
how many of the same techniques still exist to this day. Don’t miss this
opportunity to journey back to the doctor’s office of Hanover’s past!

The event includes appetizers, dinner, and libations.
$15 Members, $17 Non-Members.
Event held at Phoenix Lodge, 133 Broadway
