Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Did you know that the Hanover Historical Society offers pre-packaged group
programs at their museums year round? Programs for both children and adults
are available for a variety of groups including mothers groups, girl/boy
scouts, school groups, home school, small reunions, meet-ups and more.
Children’s programs include: “For Hearth and Home: The Colonial Herb
Garden”, “On Fire: Discovering Hanover’s Fire Stations and The National
Fireworks Company”, “Rebecca Stetson’s 1786 Tea Party”, “Shoe
Shapes: The Hanover Shoe Industry”, “Life in an Early New England
Town”, “History Mystery”, “Walking Tours: South Hanover, Four
Corners, or Hanover Center”, “Captain Smith’s Sea Chest”, and
“Mommy and Me at the Museum”. Adult programs include “Anatomy of a
Stone Wall”, “Graves and Gossip Cemetery Tour”, “Solstice
Stroll”, “Murder, Mystery and Mayhem”, and “Behind the Scenes with
the Director”. These programs are interactive and provide a fun way to
learn local history and support your local heritage museums.

“Group Programs” to find out more about each program, their appropriate
age group, the cost, and how to book reservations.
Reservations for group programs should be made at least three weeks ahead
of time to ensure the date and time is available. For questions about the

Members of the Society receive discounts on programs. Make sure to make
reservations soon, as the summer will be busy!
