Dear fellow Hanoverians:
On Thursday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. – a Garden Lecture entitled HOPE FLOATS
ON WHITE……The White Garden” will be held with Carol Julien at St.
Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 17 Church Street in Hanover.
Photographs on PowerPoint will feature the history, design techniques and
spirit of creating a White Garden. The first few slides are set to music
by Ralph von Williams, after those photos, what many consider to be one of
the finest gardens of the last 100 years: The White Garden at Sissinghurst
Castle in England will be shown. Carol will then show her 1000 sf white
garden in Halifax, MA and share the trials, mistakes, changes and successes
of her white garden since 2001. Her plant list for creating your own garden
will be given to all. There will be an optional design feature for anyone
who wishes even more fun. You will not get soil under your fingernails!
Free, open to all. They will be grateful for your free will donation to
Hanover Food Pantry of cash, check or non-perishables that evening.
