Dear fellow Hanoverians:
The news that Harper Lee has a second novel coming out is exciting for many
readers. To Kill a Mockingbird, her only other novel, published in 1960,
is regarded as one of the twentieth century’s most influential books.
The 1962 film adaptation is held in similar esteem among twentieth century
movies.
In anticipation of the July publication of Lee’s new work, Go Set a
Watchman, Hanover’s John Curtis Library will hold a four week discussion
group focusing on Lee, the author herself, on her famous novel To Kill a
Mockingbird, and on the classic film.
The program runs on the following four Wednesdays in May at 7:00 p.m.:
May 6
May 13
May 20
May 27
There is no charge for the program. Participants will receive a copy of To
Kill a Mockingbird, which the group will read and discuss over the four
meetings.
Registration is required as the group will be limited. Register in the
library or by calling 781-826-2972. For more information, please contact
