Open Space Committee to walk Colby Phillips

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The Open Space Committee has scheduled a walk on Saturday, June 27 at 10:00
at the Colby Phillips Trail and Darling Cemetery.

Park at the Middle School on Pleasant Street and join the OSC for a 2.5
mile walk to the West Hanover (Darling) Cemetery and back (1.25 miles each
way). They will stop at the wildlife viewing platform, cross the bridge at
Cushing Brook, and view the newly restored historic headstones at the small
West Hanover cemetery on the trail. Additional side trail loops will also
be available for those interested. This is a great opportunity to explore
our most popular trail system, and hear about some West Hanover history.
Sturdy walking shoes and insect repellent are advised.

More walks have been scheduled after the “mosquito season” as well:
• Saturday, September 12 at 10:00. Hanover Senior Center and
Nava-Stasiluk Trail
• Saturday, October 3 at 10:00. Cardinal Cushing Walk
• Saturday, October 24 at 1:00. Hanover Firehouse and Phillips Sanctuary
• Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 28 at 10:00. Folly Hill and Bog
Iron Trail
