More fun programs at the John Curtis Library!

Teen and Adult Events for the John Curtis Free Library for the week of
August 10, 2015

All programs are free of charge and are held at the John Curtis Free
Library. The library is located at 534 Hanover Street. For more

Monday August 10, 2015 10:30 a.m. Movie Matinee Monday
State Fair (1945)
Farm family Frake, with discontented daughter Margy, head for the Iowa
State Fair. As the fair proceeds, so do the romances; must lovers separate
when the fair closes? Snacks will be served.

Monday August 10, 2015 2:00 p.m. Makerspace Monday for Teens
Let your creativity and imagination drive you! Take your time and learn
about some new skills and craft ideas. Some of the possible program tasks
include: Duct Tape, 3D Pen, Crayon Sculpture, String Dolls, Woodburning,
Makey Makey. Multiple activities will be offered during each program
session. Snacks provided.

Tuesday August 11, 2015 2:00 p.m. Teen BookTalk
For six weeks the library will be hosting an open book discussion group for
teens. The group will discuss any books, blogs, or any reading they’ve
done while enjoying some snacks.

Tuesday August 11, 2015 6:30 p.m. Teen Yoga
Join yoga instructor Becky Paul for a one hour session for teens ages
12-18. Mats will be provided or you can bring in your own.

Friday August 14, 2015 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. STAR WARS DAY
May the force be with you at the John Curtis Free Library’s Star Wars
Day. Snacks, crafts, raffle prizes, and more! No registration is required.
Open to Teens and Children. First 10 to arrive in full costume will
receive a free gift.

Friday August 14, 2015 6:30 p.m. Board Game Night
Bring your favorite board games or play with ours. An evening of
socializing, snacks, and fun. Open to patrons 18+.
