Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Remember Louis Cook
Saturday, August 22, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Join the Hanover Historical Society as they remember Louis Cook, the
“Country Auctioneer” who operated Cook’s Auction Galleries just off
the old route 3 (now route 53) in Hanover. Thousands of people attended his
auctions in the 1950s and 1960s, looking for an evening’s entertainment and
a bargain.
This free program will be held in the Stetson House Barn (514 Hanover
Street). Pre-order a bagged lunch for $10, or bring your own. To order a
lunch or for more information, please email
hanoverhistoricalsociety@gmail.com or call 781-826-9575 by Thursday, August
20.
