Hot topics in public health

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Please join the Hanover Health Department/Hanover Medical Reserve Corps
(MRC) on Thursday, May 4th at Hanover Town Hall from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. for a
great program! “Hot Topics in Public Health” will be presented by
Alfred DeMaria, MD from the MA Department of Public Health.

Dr. DeMaria will talk about:

The threats presented by mosquito borne infection in Massachusetts
The past influenza season and implications for next year
Antibiotic resistance as an ongoing and increasing threat and
The many consequences of the epidemic of opioid use

Alfred DeMaria,Jr, MD, is the Medical Director at the MA Department of
Public Health, Bureau of Infectious Disease and Laboratory Sciences. Dr.
DeMaria’s presentations are always important, interesting and engaging.
