Hanover Woman’s Club, Juniors is proud to announce their 2nd Annual Virtual
Community Kids’ Halloween Costume Contest.
The last week of October is “Advocacy Week for Children” in the General
Federation of Women’s Clubs – which the club has been federated under since
1970. In past years, the club has held their Halloween parade as their
community service project for Child Advocacy Week, but due to continued
restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, they will be offering the Virtual
Costume Contest once again.
The Club has 4 different categories based on age groups; they will be
looking for originality and of course, for cuteness. Each category has a
prize. Details as to how to enter are listed below and in the attachment.
HOW TO ENTER:
• Take a picture of your child in their costume and email it to
hwcj1970@yahoo.com
• Subject: Costume Contest
• Include in email:
• Name, grade and age of child and which category you are entering
• Parent’s name, best phone number for prize announcement
• Deadline to enter is midnight November 1st, deadline to vote is
November 3rd, and winners will be announced November 7th.
HOW TO VOTE:
Members from our club will be helping to pick the winners but you can also
vote for your favorites to increase their chances. Pictures will be posted
on the Club’s Facebook page at

Venmo $2.00 per vote to @HWCJ-GFWC with your favorite costume.
Proceeds will go towards the Club’s annual scholarships that are given to
high school seniors.

1. AGES 0-3 years old
2. PRE-K TO FIRST GRADE
3. 2ND, 3RD, AND 4TH GRADE
4. GROUP CATEGORY – 2 or more participants ANY AGES
• 2 WINNERS FOR THIS GROUP CATEGORY
• PERFECT FOR THE OLDER KIDS but young ones can apply
PRIZES: Gift cards donated by Toy Box, Lil Dukes, Story Book Cove and
Target.
