Want to change your party registration or register to vote for the

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that Saturday, August
27th is the last day to register to vote or change your party for the
Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 State Primary. The Hanover Town
Clerk’s/Registrar’s Office will be open until 5:00 p.m. on August 27th,
and on-line registration will be available until 11:59 p.m. that night.
Please come to the Town Clerk’s/Registrar’s side entrance lower level
door if you need to register in person. Read on for on-line registration
information!

Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before September 6th, 2022
is encouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals will be
eligible to vote in all elections thereafter. Further, residents may
“pre-register” to vote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not be
eligible to vote until they turn 18.

Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party
status on-line, by mail or in person. The link for on-line registration is

. If citizens choose to register by mail they should download the
“Massachusetts Mail-In Voter Registration Form” found here:

and mail the completed form to the Hanover Town Clerk’s Office.

If citizens wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two
convenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

“New residents and high school students are strongly encouraged to
register to vote. It is the cornerstone of our democracy!” said Town
Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier. “Additionally, with some hotly contested
primary races, voters may wish to change their party registration in order
to pull a different ballot at this election. Now is the time to do so!”
she continued.
