Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Hanover’s Annual Town Meeting concluded its business in two nights this
year, and we are moving on to the Election on May 17th. This evening,
Tuesday, May 6th, the town chose to raise numerous fees in an effort to
help our revenue stream going forward, but to not create a study committee
to review the Town Manager Act. We debated the MBTA Zoning Act and decided
to not decide, all while appropriating money for affordable housing,
nonetheless.
Stay tuned for additional information about the Annual Town Election, but
for now, please join me in appreciating the incredible volunteer service of
both our Select Board and our Advisory Committee that got us to this point
in time. They are our friends and neighbors, and their contributions to
the good health of our town deserves our thanks and praise. I for one am
grateful to all of them.
