Red Sox tickets for Father’s Day?!

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

It has been a little while since I have run a charity
auction right here “Around Town on the Web”, so there is probably
no better time to jump back in the mix…just in time for Father’s
Day!  What are you going to get Dad for Father’s Day?  Or,
better yet, what are you going to do with your family on Father’s Day?!?!

How about go to the Red Sox game ON Father’s
Day?!  And you can make a donation to the Friends of the John Curtis
Library while you are at it.  It’s a win-win.  I will be
auctioning off 4 Field Box seats to this season’s Father’s Day game
(6/20/10) against the Los Angeles Dodgers.  Yes, you heard it,
Manny’s back in town!  The seats are on the first base line, Section
11, Box 10, row L, Seats 1 – 4.  An anonymous Hanover resident has
donated these seats in an effort to help the Friends of the John Curtis Library
fund programs like a live animal program and Kite Day, classical music
concerts, passes to the New England Aquarium and the South Shore Science Center
and a Spanish story hour at our library.

The 4 seats have total face value
of $520.  The street value is probably $1,000!  For those who are
relatively new to this list, here’s how it works.  Bidding will
begin at $300 at 2:00 p.m. on Monday (6/14), and will be accomplished simply by
sending an e-mail to cathyhb@atotw.com
.  Once you enter a bid, you will be added to the distribution list that will
keep you updated on the latest bid (as best as humanly possible!).  Bids
will be accepted until exactly 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (6/15).  If two bids
for the same amount are received, the earlier bid will take precedence.
So, it is to your advantage to bid your best price early.  Bids received
by me after 11:00 a.m. (computer clock time) on Tuesday will not be
considered.  So don’t wait until it is too late!

Father’s Day at the Red
Sox…for the Friends of the John Curtis Library…go for it!
Mark your calendar and send me your bids beginning this Monday at 2:00 p.m.!
