Saturday plans?

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Saturday October 29th will be a busy day in the center of town, and so I am
writing with some tips for making your day more productive.

First, this Saturday is the only Saturday of Early Voting. Early Voting
hours on Saturday 10/29 are from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lines have been
short or non-existent all week this past week, so you are encouraged to
come vote this weekend if that’s what works best in your schedule. If you
need to come between 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., please plan to drive down the
library driveway and park back by the Boy’s Club as the town hall side
parking lot will be closed until approximately 10:30 a.m. If you can wait
to come vote until after 10:30 or so, parking will re-open in the side lot
after then.

And here’s why – there is also the John Goslin Memorial Road Race in
Hanover Center, also at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. John was a prince of a man
and I hope they get a huge turnout. The race begins at 9:00 from St.
Mary’s and finishes at the Town Hall parking lot. Please be on the lookout
for runners! And if you are running, come vote when you are done!

Further, there will be a bloodmobile parked in the Town Hall parking lot on
Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Most of the traffic for that event
will be pre-reserved appointments. But, it will add to the activity of the
day.

And finally, I just heard there will be a funeral at St. Mary’s at 9:00
a.m. on Saturday, followed by the burial in Hanover Center. My sincere
condolences to the Wilson/Hayes family. Please let’s give them the space
they need.

If you add it all up, bottom line, if you can avoid the center of town
until 10:30 or so on Saturday, it might be a good idea. If you can’t, I
will see you there, because I can’t either. :)

Hope that helps you to enjoy your Saturday!

Medicare Open Enrollment info

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Each year seniors should review their health and prescription drug coverage
options. Coverage may change from year to year and you want to be sure you
are enrolled in the appropriate program for your current needs. Medicare
Open Enrollment starts October 15th and ends December 7th.

Each year the Hanover Senior Center runs a program for seniors to discuss
Medicare and review the Medicare changes for the upcoming year both on the
drug program side and medical supplemental plans.

Mary Bessey, Regional SHINE Director, will be at the Hanover Senior Center
on Wednesday, November 2nd at 1:00 p.m. to discuss Medicare and review the
Medicare changes for 2017. Come and learn about this important subject and
get your questions answered. Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October
15th through December 7th. It is the one time each year that you can
change your Part D drug plan. Come in and find out the best plan for your
medications for 2017. Having the right plan can save you hundreds of
dollars a year. The health or drug plan you had last year may be the
incorrect plan(s) for you for 2017. Last year, Hanover seniors saved over
$60,000 by switching drug plans.

If you are a senior or help a senior with their medical insurance and drug
plan decisions, this meeting is for you. Call the Hanover Senior Center at
781-924-1913 or e-mail coa@hanover-ma.gov to reserve a spot for this
informative presentation.

As part of their ongoing community involvement in health, the Hanover
Visiting Nurse Association is proud to be supporting this program. For
additional information, please contact: Jane Beal, President, at

Free fitness and wellness classes for kids

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

There is a new sanctuary in Hanover and it’s bringing the ‘art of human
movement’ and the ‘art of human kindness’ to families with children
of all ages…for FREE for kids for one week!

Juniko, located across from the Hanover Mall (next to the Toy Box) is a
unique fitness and wellness studio rooted in the core values that matter
most to families striving to teach their children to be the best version of
themselves: confidence, humility, respect (for self and others), being
positive and being nice. The natural integration of teaching children the
importance of good sportsmanship, flexibility, agility, mental focus and of
having sustainable fitness practices to compliment sports and competitive
interaction is all cleverly disguised as natural, uninhibited fun, play and
adventure at Juniko.

To celebrate this commitment to offering children a robust fitness
selection while inspiring positive growth and development, Juniko is
launching their new “Juniko Kids” program and inviting all children to
enjoy one week of FREE classes beginning October 31, 2016.

To schedule your child’s FREE week of classes at Juniko, please call the
studio at 781-924-1257 or visit online at www.juniko.com . For more
information, please e-mail Dianne Garrity at Di@juniko.com .
