Fall trail walk

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Please join the Open Space Committee for a guided walk on Hanover trails.

On Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m., in partnership with the Hanover
Historical Society, the Open Space Committee will be walking from the
Firefighting Museum, 1095 Broadway, to Luddam’s Ford Park and back via
the Hanover Greenway. The walk is 1.3 miles each way (2.6 miles round
trip). Limited transportation will be available at Luddam’s Ford for
those who may need a ride back to the Firefighting Museum. The trail
features views of the Indian Head River; the site of the almost forgotten
“Project Dale”; and “Hobo’s Rest” (interesting 1930’s vintage
hobo code markings). The time of year should also offer us great fall
foliage. Sturdy walking shoes are recommended. The Firefighting Museum
will also be open to visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and refreshments
are offered. Should be a great day!

For more information, please contact Mary Dunn: meugdunn@gmail.com, or Hal
Thomas: halhanover@msn.com.
