Boston Blazers lacrosse coming to the Hanover Y!

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Calling all lacrosse fans!

The Boston Blazers lacrosse team is hosting a FREE clinic for boys and girls
ages 9 – 13 at the South Shore YMCA in Hanover. This event will be held on
Tuesday, March 30th from 4:30 – 6 p.m. (Rain or shine/outside-inside).
Participants must bring their own gear. You can pre-register at the YMCA
(CODE MBBL01P0) or you register on that day. Space is limited to 60
participants for this event.

This is a YMCA-sponsored event, and it is open to the public on a first-come
first served basis. If you are a YMCA member, you can register online at
http://registration.ssymca.org/asp/login.asp. If you are not a member, you
must register in person at the Y. If you want to try to register the day of
the event, call ahead to be sure there is still space.

What are you doing Saturday night?

What.no plans for Saturday night? You can support the Hanover schools AND
have a fun night out this weekend at the Hanover Foundation for Educational
Enrichment’s "Night at the Races" this Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m. at
the Pembroke K of C.

Here’s why this works.this just in from the good folks at the HFEE – tickets
will be available at the door! A fun night out with your neighbors (and
like-minded school supporters) for a mere $10 per person. Hope to see you

Cut-a-Thon and Manicures for the SSVT

annual Cut-a-Thon and Manicures Fundraising Event! My daughter and I
attended last year and we can’t wait to go again. Here are the details:

Pre-K programs from Parks and Rec

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

This just in from the good folks at Hanover Parks and Rec!

EGG HUNT – B. Everett Hall Field (adjacent to the bandstand in the center of
town). Join us for the 4th Annual Parks and Recreation Egg Hunt. Families
with children from toddlers to 2nd graders are invited to attend for FREE on
March 28th at 11:00 a.m.

KIDS KLUB

This program is designed for Pre-K children ages 3-5 years old who are
looking to have a lot of fun this summer! This summer program will take
place every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Recreation Center
(formerly the Council on Aging Building). Each day will start at 11:00 a.m.
with arts and crafts, followed by a 30 minute lunch (parents please
provide). After lunch, everyone will head outside to play some fun games
and activities. Pick-up will be at 2:00. This camp will be supervised by a
Camp Director as well as 3 camp counselors. Sign up for as many weeks as
desired. $25 per week.

Week 1: 6/29 & 7/1 Week 2: 7/6 & 7/9
Week 3: 7/13 & 7/15

Week 4: 7/20 & 7/22 Week 5: 7/27 & 7/29
Week 6: 8/3 & 8/5

Week 7: 8/10 & 8/12 Week 8: 8/17 & 8/19
Week 9: 8/24 & 8/26

REGISTRATION

Registrations are accepted on a first-paid, first served basis to Hanover
residents.

Check www.hanover-ma.gov for program updates.

[Please be aware, registration will be ONLINE at www.hanover-ma.gov starting
February 15th. If you do not have access to a computer/internet you are
more than welcome to use a computer station set up in the Recreation Office.

Drop Off Registration (if space is available) began February 22nd at the
Recreation Office.

Refund Policy: Full refunds will be issued if a program is full. Requests
for refunds will be considered through April 15th with a $20 processing fee.
Request must be made in writing to the Parks and Recreation Office with
appropriate form. After April 15th, refunds will NOT be issued. Please
consider personal vacations prior to registering your children.

Spring at Cardinal Cushing

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The newest retail site on the Hanover campus of Cardinal Cushing Centers,
Cushing Trader, is kicking off spring with 30% off painted furniture and all
dried flower arrangements during the entire month of April. Cushing Trader
is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. –
1:00 p.m. Many of the items featured at Cushing Trader are created in the
art room. Paintings are matted and framed, some are photographed and
professionally printed on note cards, and furniture accent pieces are
sanded, primed, and painted by students. Cardinal Cushing Centers is a
private, nonprofit organization that provides living and learning
opportunities to people of all ages and abilities. For more information,

the Hanover Woman’s Club, the Hanover Arts Festival, the School Bus Safety
Program, the Hanover Bicentennial Committee, the Stetson House, the Hanover
Visiting Nurse Association, and the Hanover Council on Aging.

Night at the Races for HFEE

Place your bets at the Hanover Foundation for Educational Enrichment’s
"Night at the Races" on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. – 11:30

Be a part of Hanover Day 2010!

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The Hanover Cultural Council is proud to announce our 5th Annual Hanover Day
Celebration which will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010. The event will
run from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at B. Everett Hall Field in Hanover Center.
We are looking for individuals, groups and businesses who are interested in
participating either by running a booth, selling crafts, doing
demonstrations, showing their antique car or donating to the event. We are
also looking for local artists and musicians who would be interested in
performing or showing their work. Offers to volunteer for the event are
also very welcome! Craft and for-profit business booths are $30 for a 10×10
