Hanover Transfer Station permits for the upcoming fiscal year that begins
July 1, 2025 will be available for purchase in the first-floor hearing room
of Town Hall, 550 Hanover Street, starting May 1, 2025. Payment may be made
in person with a check or money order, or for a $10 charge via UniPay,

. Cash will not be accepted. Regardless of how you pay, your sticker must

up Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Wednesdays
from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon, except
for holidays.

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

What’s all this about an override? What does it mean to me, and to our
town? Here are some basics:

– Every year, Hanover’s budgetary spending increases. Employees get
raises, costs to do business go up, health insurance prices increase, etc.
Proposition 2 1/2 keeps that spending limited to a 2.5% increase plus the
value of any new growth in town. Some years, our costs go up more than
Prop 2 1/2 plus new growth allows. Last year was one of those years. This
year is also one of those years, because last year’s override attempt
failed.

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” Hanover’s Annual Town Meeting
2025 begins next Monday, May 5th, 2025! Here are the highlights that you
need to know before you go:

– The Special Town Meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. at Hanover High School, 287
Cedar Street.
– Check in will start via the front doors at 6:00 p.m. The back doors to
HHS will be locked. Come early if you want to park near the front doors
and have a shorter distance to walk. Please carpool as parking will be
limited.
– If you would like to bring your kids, childcare will be provided
beginning at 6:30 p.m. Here is the link to register them:

– The Annual Town Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m., also at the high school.

– Last year there were lines to check in. Plan to wait if you come close
to 7:00-7:30 p.m. And, come earlier. :)

Student groups will be on-site selling snacks and tickets to the Memorial
Day Pancake Breakfast. Bring cash and plan to snack in the cafe, not in

If Town Meeting goes a second night, it will likely continue to Tuesday,
May 6th, but those in attendance at the end of the night will make that
decision. Remember that any decisions made Monday night may be
reconsidered the second night.

ALL PRO DAD HANOVER Breakfast – Friday, May 2nd
All Pro Dad is a monthly gathering where dads (pros and amateurs) get to
intentionally engage with their kids!
There will be a light, complimentary breakfast, fun activities, and a
character-based curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations
with their kids.

When: Friday, May 2nd at 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
Where: Riley Hall Building (next to Center Elementary) – 17 Silver Street
Who: Center School students (boy and girls) and their dads (or other
father-like figures)!
