ALL PRO DAD HANOVER Breakfast – Friday, May 30th

All Pro Dad is a monthly gathering where dads (pros and amateurs) get to
intentionally engage with their kids!

There will be a light, complimentary breakfast, fun activities, and a
character-based curriculum that helps dads start meaningful conversations
with their kids.

When: Friday, May 30th at 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.

Where: Riley Hall Building (next to Center Elementary) – 17 Silver Street

Who: Center School students (boy and girls) and their dads (or other
father-like figures)!

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The Hanover Garden Club announces its plant sale to be held Saturday May
31st, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or earlier if plants sell out. Plan
to arrive early for the best selection of plants. They will be located at
the Gallant Field, 848 Main Street, and there is plenty of parking. The
sale will have many perennials for both sun and shade, herbs, named Hostas
and Daylilies, and native plants. A payment of cash or check is accepted.
The proceeds fund their annual scholarship and are used to buy plants and
mulch for the traffic islands and Civil War Monument.

If you love gardening or want to learn more about the Hanover Garden Club,
they have a monthly meeting the third Thursday of the month with an
educational program or field trip. Check out their website at

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Attached please find the unofficial results of the May 17, 2025 Annual Town
Election. Declared winners include the levy limit override, Rachel Hughes
for Select Board, Christopher Tracy for School Committee, and Steven
Henderson for Board of Library Trustees. All of the other races were
uncontested.
The attached results don’t contain a handful of provisional ballots,
hand-counted ballots, or blank votes, but none of those results will change
any of the outcomes.
Official results will be posted on the town’s website next week.

We’re in the home stretch, Hanover! Annual Town Meeting is behind us and
the Annual Town Election is next Saturday, May 17th! The polls are open at
Hanover High School, 287 Cedar Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Both
the front and rear entrances to the high school will be open that day.

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Hanover’s Annual Town Meeting concluded its business in two nights this
year, and we are moving on to the Election on May 17th. This evening,
Tuesday, May 6th, the town chose to raise numerous fees in an effort to
help our revenue stream going forward, but to not create a study committee
to review the Town Manager Act. We debated the MBTA Zoning Act and decided
to not decide, all while appropriating money for affordable housing,
nonetheless.

Stay tuned for additional information about the Annual Town Election, but
for now, please join me in appreciating the incredible volunteer service of
both our Select Board and our Advisory Committee that got us to this point
in time. They are our friends and neighbors, and their contributions to
the good health of our town deserves our thanks and praise. I for one am
grateful to all of them.

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Hanover’s registered voters turned out in droves again this year for our
Special Town Meeting and the first night of our Annual Town Meeting. Over
700 people filled the auditorium and the gymnasium at Hanover High School,
which didn’t meet or beat our turnout of over 1000 last year but certainly
was a solid showing by any other standard for a Town Meeting.

Despite attempts to amend our budgets, both the “base budget” and “override
budget” passed as printed in the warrant, found here:

. We proudly hailed our town’s veterans, both those in the audience as
well as those who served us decades ago as we named a traffic island for
the Hanover Gardner brothers of WWII and increased two different veterans’
exemptions. We also cleaned up some necessary changes in our General
Bylaws as they related to an obsolete zoning area’s signs and the
Conservation Committee.

And, we made it through the whole Special Town Meeting, and 27 articles of
the Annual Town Meeting. We will reconvene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May
6th, 2025 at Hanover High School.

This Sunday is the Phoenix Lodge Public Breakfast.

Join them on Sunday, May 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for what some
folks say is the “best breakfast anywhere”.

Featuring: French toast, pancakes, eggs, homemade corned beef hash, home
fries, breakfast sausage, bacon, fresh fruit and juices, muffins, toast and
coffee.

Kids under 12 – $5.00
Kids under 5 – FREE

You just can’t beat this price!!!

All of the proceeds from the breakfasts help to support their Food Pantry
program. Phoenix Lodge regularly donates to the Hanover, Pembroke
Firehouse and Norwell food pantries. They also provide two scholarships
each year to South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High School.

May is their annual Mother’s Day breakfast. All Moms eat for free!
