Summer Basketball Programs

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

*Hanover Parks and Recreation presents:*
*HANOVER and ROCKLAND TRIPLE THREAT BASKETBALL *
*BOYS’ SUMMER PROGRAMS*

Hanover High Basketball Coach Mark Molloy and Rockland High Basketball
Coach Fred Damon, along with their respective staffs, will be offering
three basketball programs this summer for boys entering grades 4 –
9. Each director is a high school teacher with combined 37 years of
experience working with children. The programs will stress the
importance of developing “life skills” through basketball. Players
can benefit from the knowledge and experience of the veteran staff.
Assistant coaches and varsity players will assist with the
instruction.

The goal of the programs is to provide motivated players from Hanover
and Rockland with an opportunity to develop skills in a competitive
environment. The programs are offered to both towns to attract
passionate basketball players who want to improve in a competitive
environment.

*Triple Threat Clinics *(June 27th – June 30th or July 18th – July
22nd)
The skills clinic is a four-day program that offers intense basketball
instruction. The focus will be on teaching offensive and defensive
fundamentals while instilling a love of the game. Sessions will
include timed drills, half-court games and full court games. It is a
great way to improve during the off-season. Players will learn how to
take their game to the next level. Last year we had a tremendously
competitive week and we are looking to build on that experience. *All
sessions will be at the Hanover Middle School.*
June 27th – June 30th or July 18th – July 22nd
Entering grades 4, 5, 6 8:30 – 11:30 $125
Entering grades 7, 8, 9 12:30 – 3:30 $125

*Triple Threat Skills League *(July 12 thru Aug. 11) – The skills
league is a great opportunity to develop skills and apply those skills
to competitive game situations. The first hour will be devoted to
skills development and half-court games. The instruction will focus on
individual offensive and defensive fundamental skills. Players will
finish the night playing competitive full court games. We expect that
players will be able to improve significantly over the course of the
skills league. The players will learn the fundamentals of the
basketball as well as the the importance of hard work and discipline.
*All sessions will be at the B. Everett Hall Courts (Sylvester Outdoor
Courts)*
Entering grades 4, 5, 6 Tuesday Nights 6:00-8:00 $75
Entering grades 7, 8, 9 Thursday Nights 6:00-8:00 $75
