Arts Camp Programs at the South Shore YMCA

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

This summer *Camp Gordon Clark* at the South Shore YMCA will be
unveiling the first full year of Camp Arts programming in the /Emilson
Arts Pavilion/. The /Emilson Arts Pavilion/ is home to two stages,
indoor and outdoor, with a combined seating capacity of 500; state of
the art sound and technology system and is home to professional
artists, thespians and musicians that instruct, delight, engage and
have fun with kids of all levels and abilities.

Campers involved in Arts Camps this year choose from four one week
arts specialty camps incorporating visual art, theater or music; 2
week specialty arts camp, choosing from specialties in Theater, Music,
Visual Arts and Dance, or a 6 week Theater Production Camp. Campers
participate in their chosen arts theme but still have the opportunity
to participate in traditional camp experiences like swimming, archery,
low ropes and games. Contact Kim Engle at (781) 829-8585, ext. 321 or

*Camp Gordon Clark *is situated on 25 wooded acres on the
Hanover/Norwell line. The facility includes a spacious athletic field,
three outdoor swimming pools, games court, tennis courts, basketball
court, volleyball court, new and expanded low ropes course and archery
areas, a bathhouse/changing area and the /Emilson Arts Pavilion/. Camp
staff includes a registered nurse, professional artists and musicians,
mature high school or college students and adults with specialized and
comprehensive training in their field. Camper ratios are small to keep
camp safe and fun. Early drop off and late care are offered. It’s a
great summer experience for kids 3-15.

*Financial assistance*
The South Shore YMCA strives to serve the entire community. Financial
assistance is available for those who can not afford fees. Assistance
is awarded based on the need demonstrated by household income and/or
extenuating circumstances and the funds available. Monies used to fund
financial assistance are made possible by an annual support campaign.
