Part Four of our Hurricane Preparedness Series

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Given the fact that Hurricane Irene is headed for the eastern seaboard
as I write this, I thought I would send this e-mail out a little
sooner than originally planned. In the fourth and final installment of
our Hurricane Preparedness Series, Fire Chief Jeffrey Blanchard brings
the following excellent news for tech-savvy residents such as all of
you “Around Town on the Web” readers!

Hanover Emergency Management Agency is now on Twitter. Our Twitter
account is “HanoverEMA”. The Hanover Fire Department is on Twitter
also and can be followed at “HanoverFire”. Both Twitter accounts will
be used as a means of keeping residents informed during emergencies.
The HEMA and the HFD will be sending out periodic test messages and
safety tips during the next few weeks.

Also on Twitter, the Hanover Police Department at “HanoverPolice”!

This concludes our series…thanks to Jeff for all of the great
information, and to all of you for reading!
