Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Hanover Cub Scouts Pack 39 would like to remind all Hanover residents
about their annual Christmas Tree Pick-Up and Recycling Service. The
scouts will take away and recycle your discarded Christmas tree on
Saturday, January 5th, 2013. The requested donation is $10 per tree.
Residents may contact the scouts for tree pickup via e-mail at
xmastree_pickup@yahoo.com
. If you prefer, you may call 617-827-0720. Tell them your name,
address and phone number. Trees should be curbside by 8:00 a.m. on
January 5th. Please place a check (payable to Pack 39) in a plastic
bag and attach it to the tree.
This event is the annual fundraiser for the scouts and integrates
community service with environmental awareness. There are several area
businesses that donate their trucks and drivers to assist them in
collecting the trees. The Hanover DPW allows us the use of their space
and to bring the trees to them for recycling.
