Memorial Day parade

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Hanover’s salute to our fallen veterans, the Annual Memorial Day parade,
will be held this Monday, May 26. The parade will kick off from St.
Mary’s Parish Hall at 10:00 a.m. and head west on Hanover Street (Route
139). Included in the parade are veterans, Sons of American Legion
members, Ladies Auxiliary, Selectman, High School Band, Police, Fire, Boy
Scouts, Girls Scouts, Congregational Church members, antique cars and an
Army truck. There will be gun salutes at each memorial and the cemetery
plots. Finally, the parade marches to Town Hall where Father Chris will
give an invocation followed by speeches from the Selectman and Commander
Ray Miller of the American Legion.

Residents are encouraged to line the parade route and mark this important
day in the life of our town and country. It’s a day like no other in our
delightful small town! For more information, please contact Commander Ray
Miller at raymiller23@verizon.net .
